My love of knitting gradually led me to discover the irresistible charm of hand-dyed yarn. In April 2018, I turned that passion into amuneiro, my online hand-dyed yarn shop.

At amuneiro, I create beautiful, high-quality hand-dyed yarns for makers who love the joy of working with their hands. I hope my yarns will add a little color, inspiration, and joy to your creative life.

All of my yarns are hand-dyed by me in Macau using ethically sourced, mulesing-free wool. I use professional-grade acid dyes and carefully dye each skein in small batches, giving every colorway its own unique character. Even skeins dyed in the same batch are never exactly alike.

The name amuneiro comes from two Japanese words: amu, meaning “to knit or crochet,” and neiro, meaning “tone” or “color.”

There is something wonderfully calming and rhythmic about knitting, crocheting, weaving, and creating with yarn. I love the way a simple strand of yarn slowly transforms into something unique through our own hands.
