FAQ

How do I care for my hand-dyed knitted item?

Superwash yarns are machine-washable. However, for longevity, I highly recommend hand washing all knitted items gently in cool or tepid water with a drop of gentle detergent. Turning your knitted item inside out when washing is recommended. Although I carefully set dyes to avoid color bleeding, it may occur for the first few washes. Please avoid washing in warm or hot water. Lay flat to dry.

Can I request a sweater quantity of yarn?

Of course! If you can't find your required quantity for your bigger project such as a sweater or cardigan on my shop, please feel free to contact me. Once I know the colorway and the quantity, I will dye them in the same batch.

Why does my yarn look slightly different from the photo?

Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarns, colors may vary slightly from batch to batch and even yarns in the same batch never be identical.
I do my best to capture true colors in natural light, but please note that the actual colors may vary depending on your screen settings.

Why does my yarn have knots in it? Can I get refunds or exchange?

When I find more than one knot during the process of dyeing, I try not to place such yarn for selling. Knots come from a spinning mill and there may be a chance that I overlook them during the dyeing process. As it’s almost impossible to make a continuous thread with no breaks or joins in the mill, unfortunately I don't refund or exchange for yarn with knots. But, if you find two or more knots in a single skein, please get in touch with me. I will do my best to solve the issue.

Can I get a replacement for my tangled yarn?

Although I dye and skein yarns with the utmost care, tangling happens. However, I am sorry if snags or tangles occur during your winding process. Unfortunately, I don't refund or exchange for the tangled yarn, but please feel free to contact me. If you like your yarn to be wound into a cake, please let me know in the 'Special Instructions for Seller' at checkout. I happily cake your yarn!
