Superwash yarn is machine-washable. However, for longevity, hand washing is recommended.
Items made out of non-superwash yarn should always be hand washed as friction can cause it to felt and shrink.
Hand wash gently in cool water with a drop of gentle detergent is recommended. Do not use fabric softener, for it makes yarn pills and dissolves superwash coating.
Although I carefully set dyes to avoid color bleeding, it may occur for the first few washes. Turning your hand knitted item inside out when washing will make it last longer.
Air dry flat: Lay your hand knitted item flat on a towel or gently on a drying rack for it to dry. Do not wring or hang on a hanger since this will agitate the item.
